Sweet or Green? (Murasakibara X Reader X Midorima)

"No! I hate eating that, you stupid carrot!"

"Say all you want (y/n). you need to finish up your meal before we can go.."

"Who the hell eat uncooked vegetable early in the morning?! I want to eat toast with eggs!"




It was my every morning argument with my childhood neighbor friend, Midorima Shintaro. Because my parent went aboard for their work, his parent, as a neighbor, agree to look after me... in other words... feed me. They are nice, but I just hate that big carrot every three meal sending me nothing but greens to my house. What about meat? What about dessert? Are his family vegetarian? I don't like... no... I HATE vegetables. I prefer sweets and snacks especially maiubo.



"Stop sending me that disgusting thing already. I'm throwing them every time you bring them. If you want me to eat, bring something like meat or cake, then I'll think about eating some greens." I said while passed by him and stomped out from the house and walked to school by myself with empty stomach, without turning back as Shintaro shouted out from my house.




Coming to  school with empty stomach was the worst thing ever... I went to my class and thank God, my good snack titan is here already. Giving him a pat at his back, I greeted, "Hey sushi, how was the snack I gave you?"

"Mmm~ It was yummy (y/n)-chin. As my thanks, here's the bag of chips I want you to have it." Murasakibara said as he gave me his bag of chips and as happy as a kid getting the Christmas present, I thanked and accepted his snacks.

"Thank Sushi!!! You are my life saver. I'm starving right now." I said while started eating them quickly before the next bell ring.

"Hmm? (y/n)-chin didn't eat breakfast?" he asked.

"Yeah, that stupid carrot always forces me to eat the food I hate. Who eat uncooked vegetable in the morning? That's not even food."

Knowing who I was talking about, he nodded, "Don't worry (y/n)-chin... whenever you need snacks, come to me and I can give you whatever you like."

Having such a good friend who supported me, I smiled, but didn't realized he was cursing at his teammates.




~Time skip till after school~




Coming back home without that carrot was so relaxing. No arguing all the way since he got his basketball practice. I was about to go into my own house, Mrs. Midorima came out from her house with a cooking pot. "Ah~ (y/n)... right on time. Here is the chicken curry for your dinner."

Wait... did I hear wrong?


Chicken curry?


Chicken!?


Meat!?


They eat meat too? Not vegetarian?!



"Er... thank you..." I said while accepted the curry from her.
"You know, this morning, when he heard you said you want to eat meat, he came back and prepare this curry for you and don't even need my help. Shin-chan always cook for you ever since your parent had went aboard. A secret between you and me."




Just like that, she went back inside the house, leaving me outside, rewinding the word she had just said... Shintaro... had been cooking... for me? After all these days I had been bad to him while he still kept on caring for me... I need to go back and apologies to him. Immediately, I placed the clay pot down and sprinted all the way back to my school.



Arriving at the gym, I saw a furious battle one on one, between Shintaro and Sushi and the battle somehow... already a foul. Shintaro had been shooting his three point while Sushi just kept preventing the ball go into the hoop.


Overhearing from the other people talking, they had been like this ever their practice start, and they didn't even care about the punishment which their captain, Akashi had gave them not long ago.

Just what in the world are they doing? Then, this is what I heard... "Mido-chin. Why are you so bad to (y/n)- chin?" Sushi said.

"What I did to (y/n) is none of your business." Shintaro said while kept on shooting the three point but been smashed back by Sushi.

"It is my business. Because you keep on feeding (y/n)-chin the food that she didn't like. And I hate you bullying the girl I like, so I will crush you."

"What I feed her its none of your business... you don't even know that she had a weak body and she need greens to nutrition herself. And because the girl I love is sick, what I did because I care for her."

"If you care for (y/n)-chin, you should make her happy, giving her what she like in order to make her happy. Not make her sad."




"Is this what you think of me?" I said as they didn't realized that I was in front of them. With their red face and their mouth open, they realized that I had heard all their confession. Should they just stand like this or repeat their confession again. Instead of being shy, I am so looking forward what are they going to say.
